A-PASS®

Introducing A-PASS® 5.0 -
Not Just for the Gangway Anymore!

Re-engineered from the ground floor up, the new A-PASS 5.0 system is the next generation of ship management for marine safety and security. While providing new and improved features of A-PASS Classic, many new safety and security options are now available. The new Registration module allows embarkation operations to be streamlined by capturing passenger photos in the terminal and eliminating the autocorrelation process. With the Corporate Badging module, badges can be generated and managed to ensure personnel have proper fleet-wide clearance and preauthorization. A new integrated Access Control module allows select areas on the ship to be secured based on configurable access rules, providing full tracking of passenger and crew activity in sensitive areas.

New A-PASS 5.0 System Features

  • Automatic Archiving
  • Access Control with Activity Tracking
  • Bulk Messaging (text and audio)
  • Corporate Badging
  • Corporate Web Reporting
  • eNOA/D Electronic Filing
  • Immigration Web Module
  • New Device Support (for DL, Passport, Biometric, and RFID readers)
  • Registration Module (for in-terminal photo and document capture)
  • Web Management (for system administration and custom reports)
  • Child Care Registration (coming soon)
  • Vendor Preauthorization (coming soon)

Compliant with the latest APIS rulings, the system now supports direct electronic submissions through eNOA/D to fulfill all USCG (Notice Of Arrival) and CBP (APIS) electronic filing requirements upon embarkation. The Immigration web module ensures that passengers meet all requirements for clearance before being allowed to exit the ship. To manage record retention, an automated Archive strategy was developed to stream shipside data to a central database for fleet-wide corporate reporting.

Based on Microsoft .NET technology, the new A-PASS 5.0 uses the latest in software architecture, web technology, and industry standard protocols. Utilizing SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) through Web Services, the system ensures seamless integration and interoperability with other shipboard systems. Employing the latest identity management technology, the product now supports a wide variety of new device options including DL, Passport, Biometric, and RFID readers to automate passenger check-in and provide positive passenger identification.
